Bee's Wax Wraps

The Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Partnership - CHNEP and Florida Sea Grant hosted a fun, impactful workshop July 27 about the many benefits of bees and using beeswax wraps instead of plastic bags, plastic wrap or tupperware. Beeswax wraps can be used to keep food fresh. This was a fun way to learn about pollinators and reduce your dependence on plastic!

After an informative presentation and discussion on marine debris and our role in combatting it, we created our own beeswax wraps to take home.

You can learn more about plastic use and microplastics here: http://sfyl.ifas.ufl.edu/…/marine-and-coastal/microplastics/

Thank you to those who participated, and we hope to see you at our next event!
