CHNEP Citizen Scientists gathered at Ponce de Leon Park in December to participate in the Audubon Christmas Bird Count. With our boots on the ground and eyes towards the sky, we saw 33 species of birds and observed some neat behaviors. The Audubon Christmas Bird Count is an annual inventory of birds in Northern Hemisphere - the data is used in scientific research and to make management decisions about bird species.
