The Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Partnership (CHNEP) is hosting the 2024 Southwest Florida Climate Summit on February 28 & 29, 2024 at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center in Punta Gorda, FL. This annual event shares knowledge, showcases climate action, engages leadership across sectors, and mobilizes collaboration throughout the Central & Southwest Florida region. The Summit features innovative thinkers exchanging dialogue and ideas on expanding capacity to respond to climate challenges and building increased community resiliency, as well as interactive question and answer sessions with audience members.
If you would like to submit an abstract for consideration, please fill out and submit the form no later than October 31st 2023. Please note that by submitting this abstract, you are committing to the following if your abstract is selected: (1) One submission per presenter, (2) Attending both days of the Summit in person, (3) Allowing the recording and distribution of the recording of your presentation, and (4) Providing all additional requested information associated with your presentation in the specified timeframes prior to the event. [Please note that presentation slots will only be afforded to those who are able to uphold these commitments and failure to do so may result in substitutions to the agenda.] Presentations should be geared towards both professionals and the public, to share the latest climate science as it pertains to Central and Southwest Florida's natural resources and environment. They will be 10-15 minutes in length each, followed by a question-and-answer period with written questions from audience via Mentimeter (online polling software). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jennifer Hecker at jhecker@chnep.org or (941) 833-6580.
