Habitat Restoration Planning

Habitat Restoration Needs Planning Update
Habitat restoration is central to CHNEP's mission. The Habitat Restoration Needs Plan (HRNP), aims to enhance regional habitat restoration and mitigation efforts using the best available science. The three main goals of the project are to:
-
Create regional habitat restoration short-term goals and a long-term vision
-
Identify habitat restoration, conservation and land acquisition priorities needed to reach the habitat restoration vision and goals
-
Develop a strategy for easy access and regular updates to CHNEP restoration plans
Habitat Resiliency to Climate Change
This project integrates supplemental analyses to take a closer look at what kind of impacts our watershed may experience given the most recent climate change and sea level rise science. This project component includes an in-depth analysis of spatial sea level rise data to delineate habitat connectivity and provide resiliency solutions such as migration corridors.
