The purpose of the Charlotte Harbor National Estuary Program (CHNEP) is to implement a partnership plan to protect the natural environment from Venice to Bonita Springs to Winter Haven. The program receives financial support from many sources to accomplish this purpose.

One method of engaging people in this pursuit has been to develop calendars that depict the beauty of the natural environment. People are asked to donate images that depict this beauty. Through an online survey, the public is asked for their input on the images they'd like included in each calendar. 

Each year since 2005, the CHNEP has been pleased to provide calendars to those who subscribe to Harbor Happenings, the program's free quarterly newsletter. In addition, several of our partners have requested and received a small supply of calendars for distribution to their staff, volunteers, patrons/visitors and others.

In August of 2008 and 2009 we sent a letter to each partner who had received a supply of prior calendars to confirm they wished to receive a supply of the next calendar and confirm details such as quantity, address and to learn how the supply would be distributed. Those who didn't respond to the letter in 2008 received 12 copies of the calendar but those who didn't respond in 2009, we sent another letter, didn't  receive a supply. In 2010 this online form was developed to make it easier to submit requests.

Submitting this request does not guarantee that the quantity requested will be received. The CHNEP has a limited budget available for this project and filling requests depends on costs involved (such as #2 below) and requests received.

This project is funded by CHNEP's financial partners, who are committed to helping protect the natural environment of southwest Florida. We ask that the calendars you request be distributed to those who might somehow help protect this environment. If you would like a supply of calendars for another reason, we ask that you place your request through the Friends of Charlotte Harbor Estuary, Inc.? To inquire, please send an email message to mhilgendorf@swfrpc.org with "Calendar from Friends" in the subject line.

Would you please support the work of the CHNEP by making a donation to the Friends of Charlotte Harbor Estuary, Inc.? The CHNEP is pleased to join the many organizations that enjoy the assistance of a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. Donations to the Friends can be made by cash, check, credit card and PayPal.

If you submitted artwork for the calendar and any of your entries are included, you will automatically receive 12 calendars. Please complete the form below only if you know you wish to receive more than 12 calendars.

We aren't certain how the calendars will be delivered to you. Please provide a street address that is recognized by the U.S. Postal Service. Please check to be sure the address is in their database by visiting the USPS website. The USPS now requires that each address be in their system or they won't attempt delivery.

5. How many calendars would you like to receive? Supplies are provided in multiples of 12 (12, 24, 36, etc.). A box of calendars is expected to contain 96 calendars.

We anticipate that the calendars will be ready for distribution by November. We ask those who receive a supply to distribute them as quickly as possible or return any not distributed to CHNEP by February.
