2008 Meeting dates for CHNEP Committees
Want information on meetings held in 2009 or 2010? Meeting agenda packets are maintained on the website for up to two years.
Do you want meeting minutes? Minutes are made available after they've been approved by the committee.
As meeting details, including location and agenda packets, are known, they'll be linked to each meeting date. As of May 2007 some information may also be available on the CHNEP FTP site; however, these files are not left on this site for long term.
Once approved, minutes of each committee meeting are posted on the website.
CAC meetings are often held on the third Wednesday for most months. Dates in bold are meetings devoted to addressing issues considered by entire Management Conference.
Powerpoint presentations made during the meeting. If you don't have PowerPoint software, you can download the free software PowerPoint Viewer. (Follow the link then search for "Powerpoint Viewer 2003."):
Subsequent planning notes for the reservoir workshops are posted elsewhere on this website.

- Reservoirs in Georgia: Meeting Water Supply Needs While Minimizing Impacts
- Wayne wrote: The key for Florida, particularly our part, is the understanding that we have a natural reservoir under our feet, and the issue is its management. Maintaining recharge is key, and since that also addresses the unnatural high flows the manmade impervious surfaces create, two problems get worked on. As the Georgia paper demonstrates, a practical reservoir is one that uses topography so that the artificial construction is largely filling the notch of a basin that has its surrounding rim provided by nature. This is the approach in northern Florida. Reservoirs for us (in south Florida) require a man built rim (Lake Manatee is an exception), and lining to keep the water from recharging. The end result is an expensive hypermanaged system with an assurance of Murphy’s Law kicking in. For our water supply planning, we are working to keep water tables high, and spacing our wells to reduce the drawdown.
