Links For More Information

Many of CHNEP's partners make available wonderful information through websites. This page is the start of an attempt to link you to these sites. If you wish to suggest websites for inclusion, please email a brief description of the website and the web address to mhilgendorf@swfrpc.org. Thank you.

The State of Florida Environmental Primer In 2008, the State Committee for Environmental Education (SCENE) created a primer for Florida's elected leaders to use for reference purposes. The primer provides information about environmental terms that are important for Florida's current and future well-being. It establishes a common understanding about various scientific or environmental topics/terms that are either a priority for Florida's environmental administrators or are commonly used in environmental education literature.

Center for Watershed Protection Guidance on Local Tools to Protect Wetlands

The Center for Watershed Protection has been working, via a Wetlands Program Development Grant, to better integrate wetland protection into watershed planning. As part of that project, CWP has recently launched a wetlands component to their website, http://www.cwp.org/wetlands/index.htm which provides guidance on local tools to protect wetlands. We hope this website proves useful to watershed practitioners working at all levels to include wetlands in their planning, prioritization, and watershed management efforts.
